This public center, attached to the Ministry of Culture, Historical Heritage and Museums of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, and opened in 1951, is one of the most emblematic buildings in the city. Its scope focuses on the study, research and dissemination of the history of the Canary Islands and its relations with America. It houses a specialized Museum, Library and Study Center, as well as various spaces for temporary activities: courses, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, screenings, concerts, etc.
